Hi,
I’m Kate, a therapist based in Hackney.
My aim is to create a safe, non-judgemental and grounded space for you to feel at ease to explore whatever is going on for you.
In therapy, you can be with yourself in a supportive environment to explore your feelings. As your awareness grows this can encourage change, reflection and a new way of being.
My clinical experience involves working in community based services and in private practice helping clients with issues such as:
neurodiversity - I bring a deep focus and understanding when working with neurodiverse clients, specifically ADHD & ASD.
anxiety
depressions
family issues
relationship issues
loss
bereavement
burnout
stress
sexuality
gender
pre&post pregnancy
My Approach
I am a Pluralistic therapist which is an integrative and collaborative modality. I draw upon person-centred, gestalt and existential models of therapy. I see each client as an individual and approach therapy in a unique way for each person. My main focus is to understand how you are experiencing life.
Sometimes in life we can feel stuck, but I believe we all have the inherent capacity to flourish and the desire for personal growth. This is possible if one feels safe, supported and heard. Sometimes, clients may not be in distress but are wanting to explore themselves or perhaps embark on change.
Each client moves at their own pace. We will discuss your expectations in the first session and work in a way that makes you feel supported and at ease. My aim is for each client to be an active participant in their journey towards change, understanding themselves and working towards long-standing change.
